RESIDENT SHOWCASE
Join us
in celebrating the culmination of
Stacey Welchley’s residency
A solo exhibition showcasing the vibrant, ocean-inspired work she developed during her time in the program.
Based on South Padre Island, Stacey transforms reclaimed skimboards, and surfboards into layered resin artworks that capture both the beauty and fragility of marine life. Her work blends bold color, storytelling, and environmental awareness while reflecting her adventurous spirit, humor, and deep connection to the coast.
Celebrate Stacey’s final residency exhibition showcasing vibrant, ocean inspired work rooted in community, exploration, creativity, and the beauty of the coast.
JOIN US FOR THE SPI ART WALK
ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH
We are dedicated to giving emerging artists the support needed to establish and sustain themselves in our local economy.
Every year, five to six artists are accepted into the ABI SPI program. During this time, these art-related entrepreneurs are granted access to their own studio space and gallery space, along with many other invaluable resources, at no cost to them. Our staff works diligently to provide a comfortable and supportive learning environment for the in-resident artists as they develop and refine their business skills.
